Biographical Note:

Timothy F. Slater is a professor at the University of Wyoming, Laramie, WY, where he holds the Wyoming Excellence in Higher Education Endowed Chair of Science Education. He is also director of the Cognition in Astronomy, Physics and Earth sciences Research (CAPER) group.

Lauren V. Jones is currently an independent scholar. She has a PhD in astonomy from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL.

Our knowledge of the universe has increased tremendously over the last century.
