In this book we learn of a mysterious figure known as vitriol who is a worshiper of the angel of death who gains for forty eight hours the touch of death, super strength and slight regeneration after the grim reaper decides that he has been doing his job for too long and wants to pass on the torch to someone new and decided "who better to pass my powers on to than one who worships me". Now vitriol will have forty eight hours to kill everyone on the reapers list that is in his town but there's something the angel of death doesn't know and that is that Vitriol has a dark side, a thirst for blood and he is not just going to kill the people on the list no, he's going to kill the whole town But something vitriol won't expect lies in the near future or should I say someone? Who will prevail?
