Bug Drawings

This Collection of Drawings was made in the abundant dead time that taxi drivers have, exactly what I was in those days, at least that's how it started, especially during the long nights in the MIA taxi parking lot, in Miami, FL, surrounded by Afro Haitians who are the majority and reminded me a lot of my brothers of the Brillumba religion and friends of the soul, Afro-Cubans of Congo origin, for their laughter and strong character. I share with them the thousands of stories and magical beings that populate the Kutukuangos, short stories full of wise advice, remedies and sacred-magical knowledge. From those oral sources these Bugs come out, of course, from my nightmares and dreams as well. To them, my brothers and friends, these Drawings of Bugs are addressed, with all my love and respect.
