Akacerax: Warlocks of the King

Akacerax, the king's warlocks, are sorcerers specialized in black magic. Young students of the Academy, brought up on the legend of the heroic Akacerax, train to become their successors. Soon they are to learn that the reality they know is a lie. In return for power and privilege, they shall serve the king to retain his power and impose his strict rule. The least questions they ask, the easier it will be for them to follow orders. The problem with young people is that they love asking questions. There is no real option to turn back; on top of that, the world is not going to wait for the new Akacerax to adapt before challenging them.
