My little Gumbo, I didn't want hurt him and he was right where my foot needed to be at the top of the stairs in NODA in Charlotte. I tried to avoid him and missed my footing. I grabbed the railing with my left arm. I couldn't stop myself from skidding down the stairs to the bottom. That was in January 2016. We've been through a lot together since I rescued him, I got injured and we crossed the country. He was always with me. Watching out for me. Rescue animals are super important for Humanity.
