On a fateful Friday the 13th in October 1972, a plane traveling from Uruguay to Chile, carrying a young rugby team, crashed in an inaccessible area in the heart of the Andes Mountains. For many weeks, the survivors had to endure intense cold, biting hunger, thirst, and the despair of being completely abandoned.
