Publisher Marketing: Satoru Noda was born in Kitahiroshima, Hokkaido, Japan. He moved to Tokyo to work in the manga industry as an art assistant. After publishing a couple of one-shot stories, his first serialized manga series was the hockey-focused Supinamarada!, published in 2011. In 2014, he began work on Golden Kamuy , which became a commercial and critical success, winning the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2018.
