Su infancia y parte de la adolescencia la vivió en su natal Guamalito donde hizo hasta 10° de bachillerato y posteriormente se fue a Taganga a terminar su Bachillerato. Por cuestiones de la violencia su familia se vio obligada abandonar su pueblo y se radicaron en Ocaña Norte de Santander a donde él se fue a iniciar una larga lucha contra la adversidad, después de tantos consternaciones logra ingresar a la Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander Ocaña; finalmente ve realizado su sueño y se recibe como Comunicador Social y emprende una nueva lucha para lograr sus objetivos.
