The fate of the Sandringham Pals is the overall theme, but the individual stories explore notions of heroism, loss and return. The stories take on different genre forms, from an heroic last stand, to an individual's quest for redemption, to the loss of love, to a long and perilous return home, to a unwelcome return, to the loss of identity. Our main charaters confront Death in many different forms. And there are Homeric themes as told in the Iliad and the Odyssey, set in modern times, in modern war. All tales are told in an exciting graphic novel form, in thrilling, fast moving, original black & white sequential comic art. Some of the material is for mature audiences. Contributor Bio: Dobbins, Paul S Paul S Dobbins is a free lance graphic artist operating out of his home studio in northern Virginia. He has spent much of his life developing his interests in art, with stops at the University of Michigan art school and the continuing education program at the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, D.C. Paul was an economist at the U.S. Treasury Department, 1977-2007, building and maintaining computer models of various aspects of the U.S. tax system.
